Take the TV out of the kids' bedrooms

Sadly, another child apparently hurt by bullying. Here is Michele Borba on the issue of bullying.

Today I talked with Dr. Sharon Maxwell, a clinical psychologist, who said that people are suddenly waking up to the serious issue of bullying, and that television is a culprit. "Kids are being brutalized," she said. "Making jokes at another's expense is the bread and butter of (some of) these shows. We plant children in front of these shows, and then we're surprised when they do the same thing."

The best thing you could do, she said, is to take the tv out of children's bedrooms.
